Industrial radiography is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method of inspecting materials for hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials. Either an X-ray machine or a radioactive source (Ir-192, Co-60 or Cs-137) can be used as a source. We provide radiographic services in work shops, radiography bunkers and in the field as per the customers’ convenience. Our Level II radiographers are experienced in many different and special techniques involving geometrically challenged parts.
We use conventional radiography, as well as LoRad and SCAR systems - specially designed on-site radiography equipment, which produces radiographs of standard or difficult joint geometries without disruption and need for large barrier areas. To ensure maximum safety we use Radishield Radiation Protection Systems – totally encapsulated shielding systems, which gives flexible shielding in inaccessible and restricted applications where traditional methods of shielding are difficult to provide.
Applications: All types of welds and all fabricated structures; petrochemical refineries; Oil tankers & Drilling rigs; hydro power generation facilities; Valve and pump bodies etc.
